(Johannesburg)  --  South African Olympic runner and Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius will remain in police custody until at least next week.

The 26-year-old Pistorius' request for bail has been postponed until February 19th.  The double-amputee is accused of murdering his girlfriend at his Pretoria home yesterday.

Police say the 30-year-old model, Reeva Steenkamp, was shot four times.  Pistorius broke into tears when he was formally charged with murder during his court appearance today.
